Hi All,
One of my wife's and mine favorite things to do when traveling is hunting for and getting Smooshed Pennies (you know.. the Penny machines that smash a picture onto an alongated smashed penny). This is a whole-'nudder hobby with absolutely terrific stories but .... to my point.
I have made a picture box/frame for my wife's birthday. In it, I plan on glueing some of our favorite smooshed pennies. Since the pennies are in different states of quality, I have been trying many different things to pollish them up. I have tried chemicals, catchup, my Dremel but have not figured out a good way of polishing them. I have been considering putting them in a High Polish tumble (actually.. I have a vibrator) with some Ceramic agragate and Polish. Has anyone tried anything like this? Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks!!! Jon

Well something similar is brass or spent shell casings for reloading. I do quite a bit of this and it is so easy compaired to rocks. I use a vibratory tumbler with ground up walnut shells (corn cob works well also) with a little car polish added...this works over night and is quite amazing.
