It means Kurt Vonnegut died this morning from complications from a fall at his home.

Sorry to hear it...a talented author who was deeply affected by WW2 and told interesting and imaginative tales...he is missed csroc

I felt pretty bad when I saw that he had passed on, dynamite author. His son wrote a book about his (the son's) mental illness and 'return', and I cannot remember the name of it for the life of me. Slaughterhouse Five, if you haven't read it, do it now!!! I remember thinking 'holy crap!' when I first read that book many eons ago---
