I've put two and two together and realised that if your into tumbling then you've probably ordered plenty of stuff on e-bay, and I'm now trying to figure out how to stop my e-bay rock buying addiction. It seems I have purchased now in total something like 350 lbs of rough from e-bay in total. 100 lbs of assorted rock, and 50lbs of Black Obsidian, 25lbs of Red Jasper, 25 lbs of Quartz, 50 lbs of Hematite, 50lbs of mid grade Bloodstone. I think I'm good for a while...grand total for my insanity is 425 dollars . Now I just need to take on the name william and things will be square *just kidding will* -Noah-

Greetings All,
What 'cha gotta understand is that I saved up for near on a year from the time I first thought about getting a rock tumbler to the time I finally bought one and the first batch of rough retail. Then I too bought more rough off of Ebay, and quickly realized how easy it would be to spend much money here and there in little bits which would add up afore too long and be a thousand dollars or more.
So it was with this in mind that I started wonderin' about how much I should spend on what. Turns out Gerdus Bronn in South Africa can gather, select, and ship me beautiful rocks for a whole lot less than Ebay, and darn near less than I could drive my car out into the country and pick up rocks myself (I've done this, I know). Now it's just a matter of figuring out how to get about 600 lbs of grit, and then maybe, just maybe I can justify buying a commercial tubler. Maybe.
But buying two metric tons of rocks is one way to stop youself from spending on Ebay, and might be enough to make me some money from it instead. Won't know until I try I suppose ;D

William. You forgot the one ton pickup truck with a big block. You will also need the CD player with Pink Floyd Pulse. Shine on you crazy diamond is a winner. One must be styling to haul rocks. Meantime, it will make a great cruiser. You might get six miles per gallon. Now there be some possibility~!

You will also need the CD player with Pink Floyd Pulse. Shine on you crazy diamond is a winner. I think the song "High Hopes" would be more appropriate. My favorite song by Floyd, by the way.

Greetings All, That 1964 Red and White Ford F150 is still sittiin' on the corner of Main and Highway 51, but it aint got my name on it yet. And I know I would have to spend a bit for a stereo too. As for the Pink Floyd, for me it would have to be Fearless. "You choose the place and I'll choose the time and I'll climb that hill in my own way and everyday is the right day." Or as the Greatful Dead once said, "hey hey, hey hey hey hey hey join the club, party party everyday". But only when I'm able William C

hmm only 600 lbs of grit....I figured you'd go the full ton heh, anyway I looked into a commercial tumbler but it seems they don't measure in lbs at that level...its in cubic feet of space..and for a whopping 599.00 you too can purchase a 10 cubic foot tumbler...which i think would be like 60 or 80 lbs? but theres also a triple 40lb tumbler for 475.00 this looks a mean bad boy...but I can't imagine listening to something like that running all night long its definately not quiet. Anyway just some random stuff from me. -Noah-

Syd Barret just disappeared, right after the happening. The Albatros was the beginning, Journey to the Center of the Sun is the Tao, is the end the final cut? Someday William, I hope we meet for a moment. You in your Ford, me in my Chevy Van 20 with the LT1. My wife is still learning how to back it up without burying it to the frame at idle. We will meet and say it was worth every minute. What things we have held in our hands.
