It's been awhile since I've shared a wrap, I've been so engrossed in the sawing and tumbling part of it! But I got together with a friend, and we sat and wrapped. Here's what came of it: This first is from the Burro Creek trip. A preform that was languishing by my Genie for a while. I do a bunch of wonderful preforms, finish a few, then get distracted by more beautiful rock, and do the same thing again! I bought this little slab at the Snyder's Pow Wow last year.

Absolutely beautiful! I don't understand though how you did the second one. Where does the wire begin & end? Gorgeous cabs too, by the way. Patti

Great designs and work on both but I really love the second one. The open bail really gives it a different type look.

Thanks, everyone!! Hi Patti! The two little swirls, one on the back and the bottom right are the ends. I roll the wire, in one piece around a round form, like a pill bottle from the pharmacy, like a tight spring. Pull it off, and then 'bind' it with 1/2 round in 4 places. Then shape it around the stone, and bend wires around the cab to hold it in place. The two ends, I make a coil with! So many less ends to fuss over! I enjoy both techniques, but I think of the second one as more of casual 'jeans' style. ~dee
