Here's a present for my mother. I wasn't happy with my original setting on this tigereye as a pendant, so I revisited the cab and came up with this bracelet. I've been dying to try my hand at the viking knit chain, and this was the perfect opportunity. Let me know what you think. Full bracelet: Bracelet back (Here ya go Tweety!): Bracelet modeled - front: clasp: other side:

Tweety - I can't knit wool. This was EASY once I made myself understand the directions. I saw a couple approaches, but this was the easiest one I saw.
I can't do chainmail worth a flip, so there you go!

Rhonda, that's beautiful. I can't even imagine trying to knit wire.

That is beautiful. Instead of using a rod to wrap it around, have you ever tried a knitting spool? That is what I have done in the past and it worked great. Tami

Thanks everyone! Cher, the knit is really a misnomer. It's also called Viking Weave.
I saw knitting spool instructions, but they required a crochet hook and seemed more time consuming. This just seemed easier to me, for some reason. Now that I've done one, I can see what they were talking about with the spool. I wonder, does it give a different weave? That might be something to look at!

She'll ove it! I haven't tried bracelets yet. I love the way it hooks together at the cab too!

WoW I was just reading on how to do the viking weave and can't believe you used a quarter inch dowel to do it on. I'd love to learn this but don't know about working something that small. I'm more impressed as I read Rhonda!!

Very nice! I love bracelets! And thanks for modeling! It really shows it off better when you can see it on someone.

No using the spool gives you the same type of weave, I have used it several times. I do weave differently then the instructions tell you to. Once I start I just wrap the wire along the outside of the pins and slip the bottom wire over the new wire. Yes having a crochet hook helps moving the bottom wire, however, a dull tapestry needle or knitting needle works just as well. Tami
