Whats games are you into Mark? I had a go on my friends PS2 at the weekend (we have X-box) they had this really cool game where you wore gloves and actually had to punch at the screen to fight. It was acutally a good workout and fun too ;D I don't usually play the fighting games but it was fun - I usually play the platform type and the kids always trash what I thought was a good score

we don't have a ps2 (yet) but santa brought a ps1 when my child was 4 and we have had a blast on it. the dog ate right through the cord WHILE we were playing - you know how you fill a balloon and then let it go and it flys all around and deflates quickly - pffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffft. well that was us. but i was glad the dog didn't get electricuted.

We've had our SNES in the closet ever since we got a Nintendo Game Cube.
My oldest just loves the fact that you can play Gameboy games on it as well as the discs.
"hey mom, check it out! I can take these gameboy games and continue to play them on my gameboy in the car!"

you guys are missing out, the true best games are for pc. I hate all the console systems. Once you see Half Life 2 and get accustomed the to amazing reality of it, all other games will seem obsolete

Anything which taxes me Rose. Jkowalski33 - I agree to a certain extent. I play Unreal Tournament on the net over broadband - and get to be killed by people I never even met I also kill them too though - the tactics are untrue - but a net game also gives the owners of better PC equipment a very unfair edge. My PC is only average Im afraid - at the level of the games that is My PC has a 17 inch flat sceen. My TV is a fairly old 32inch surround sound Sony. The 32Inch souround sound sony walks all over the PC games. And as the TV is wired up to the Denon Stereo, those laser blasts hit home HARD!!!!!! PC resolution - yes. Sheer THUD IN THE HEAD. PS2 takes it home hands down for me. And some of the games are so long...... One more thing - Ive never had the PS2 crash (well once or twice when I pushed it) - but the PC - the developers are all too torn up about standards that simply dont exist. This GFX card - that driver.... Put 10 games on a PC (biggies) - and your PC is ruined. PS2 - its the only way to be

well we can all have our own opinions. personally, I dont have any trouble with my computer, and its is a very average one too. it doesn't crash. i'd say the biggest reason i like computers better are the mouse keyboard method of controlling. i just can't use those little controllers, my hands don't do what i want them to whenever i try and play one

To heck with PlayStation and Xbox, those games are for kids.
Try EverQuest.
It is a whole 'nother world. It's not for those with ADD though, it takes a significant time to succeed, but once you try it you'll throw away all those silly shoot-em-up games. EverQuest is a game for adults.
Thirteen bucks a month, and you play online with people from all over the world - somewhere around a quarter million players at present. It's basically like a 3-D Dungeons and Dragons, you're playing wizards or warriors, etc. (many classes and races are available, good and evil) the graphics are good considering it's 6 years old, and there are moments so scary that you get a heck of an adrenaline rush. There are plot lines and quests, and a ton of stuff to learn. It takes team work, so it's not just you shooting machine guns at aliens, like Doom.
It is simply incredible! EQ can fill all your spare time for literally years. And eventually you and your friends will be powerful enough to kill massive dragons and even gods.
Trust me, folks, if you are at all into gaming give EverQuest a shot. You will throw all your other gaming gear away.
One warning though, EverQuest is highly addictive - you may find yourself neglecting work, friends, and family - it is nicknamed EverCrack for good reason!

Ah... SirRoxalot... another fan of Everquest. I play as often as I can... (and ADD people like me can play) if I get on a quest, I can play for hours on end and never know what time it is. However, if I get distracted....I go back to POK (where I am bound) when I die.

SirRoxalot, Do you have a URL/Website available that I can check out for it? I'm always game on for a new adventure. Stefan - they banned Monoply as Trading Standards kept poking their nose in at everyone buying everything they landed on - every time!! When I was a kid I played "The Hobbit" - that was a good game. "Move North" "South" - "You are killed whilst pale ballbous eyes watch from the hedgings"... OUCH Cheers mark

Get started at: eqlive.station.sony.com/This is one website out of hundreds, if not thousands, of EQ websites. One class alone can have five or six bulletin boards just like this one. I pored over websites for a week before subscribing, the amount of info available is enormous, there are tons of guides and helpful sites. In EQ you're never stuck playing one kind of character - you can have eight per account. So you can be an elven cleric or a dwarven warrior or a gnome wizard or an iksar monk. Some are strictly fighters, some stricty magic users, some a mix of both. And if the idea of fighting and killing monsters doesn't interest you, there are tradeskills - you can bake, tailor, fish, smith, make jewellery, etc., and sell what you make to other players for a profit! EQ has a virtual economy that is just amazing; its currency is worth more in real life US dollars than the currency of some very large countries. Whatever sounds interesting to you, Google it and see what it's all about. All this might sound kind of silly to the carmudgeonly oldtimers out there, but to many people EQ isn't a game, it's a lifestyle. If you live somewhere with nasty winters, EQ is a lifesaver - finally something to do! Try it for a month, but don't get frustrated, the learning curve is pretty tough, and you can't "win" this game in a weekend, it's a long-term thing. I recommend diving in with a friend, two heads are better than one. You do have to be a friendly, social type to really succeed in EQ; playing solo is possible only to a point, and it takes a lot longer to advance solo. The game really is like life, you only get out what you put in. I used to play every day, but with spring here I'm down to 3 nights a week, on the Prexus server. SirRoxalot

You can have eight characters, but that is on each server... so virtually it is unlimited. However, you don't really have time to play with so many. I may create on on Prexus just so I can "see" you sometime.
