I really had fun with this! The wrapping was more challenging, and I had to plan ahead and have an idea of what I wanted before I even started, unlike my usual just 'grab and wrap' method! Dee

Dee, that's cool! Can you grab a pic hanging from a chain?

Oooo - I like it! Will I get beaten if I ask to see the back? I'm curious about the bottom piece...
Speaking of the bottom piece - what is it? Is it carnelian? I love the orange!

Oh no, it's wrapped and off as a gift! Lessee stonewizard, I had in mind it would hang from a cable rather than a chain. Raquel, no it doesn't swing. But that would be way fun! akansan, the back looks exactly like the front! The bottom was as snug as I could get it, and then secured with epoxy. But that was the look I wanted, so designer's license? And yes, it's carnelian. I love that orange too! I can't find rough like that, so I do to the local rock shop that has baskets and baskets of tumbled rock, and pick out the deepest colors and saw those up for the 'drops'. I have all kinds of ideas for combining stones. I'm glad you all like it! ~dee

Ah! The epoxy would answer my question. I really like that combination!

Very interesting. That's a really nice piece of carnelian, great color in it. I agree with you gals, I love that stuff too.

Beautiful achievement, Dee. That red stone, looks a bit unstable into that discrete wrap but it could be just an ilusion.
