Got some new ones to share from this weekend...hope you like them. Tumbled agate in 22g DS square brass with 21g HH half round bindings. I had this idea for "prongs" of a sort that I wanted to try out. This was my first go at it. Front: Back: And here's the big ol tombstone I cabbed up a couple of weeks ago. The consensus seemed to feel that it was definitely an agatized plant material of some sort. This one is in 24 g HH square silver with 24g HH half-round for the bindings. I really wanted to try out this "prong" idea on this guy...I like it. Front: Back:

Woohoo - the real stuff! Nice work on both. Noticed you've figured out the pressue amount (or tool dip ) on the brass. I really like those prongs!

Very nice, how did you like working with that brass? I've never tried it myself but like the look of it.

With all the advice I got from you guys, I learned how to manage the tools better...plus I got a set of nylon jawed flats, that I just love. They're perfect when you need to get a firm grip on the wires when starting a binding but don't want to mark everything up.

Very nice, how did you like working with that brass? I've never tried it myself but like the look of it. The brass is nice! It's pretty easy to work...the DS brass is easier to work than the HH silver I've got. It marks easier than the silver, though. I really like the look of it, too. I have no idea how it wears, though. It's SUPER cheap, so you can't go wrong trying it. I got mine from Brandywine and I think I paid about $3 for 25 feet.

The prices on some of the other bead related stuff are quite reasonable. I'm not sure about the silver prices, since its gone up since the last time I priced it...

I really like the design of using prongs shaped as swirls. Very cool!

Titania,
So nice to see another person working with base metals. I love copper, brass, bronze etc.
