To be a little more precise, Oceanside is about an hour's drive north of San Diego. It is known by a different name in our house, though, because the "PRINCESS OF DARKNESS" lives there.....................My mother-in-law. [glow=red,2,300][/glow]

Well...I emailed this guy (Fred Chaldy) and he replied right away and said that he still had plenty of rough left. I mentioned that I couldn't get down there til payday, so my peeps and I are headed down to Oceanside on Sat. morning (about a 2 1/2 hour drive.) But hey, the pee-wees are up for a drive and I promised them lunch at the dock. I'll have to let you know how it goes on what I can get with $60-70 (my limit from my husband, and subject to change with proper groveling) I'm hoping to get some stuff to slab and sell on the dreaded ebay or maybe one of the free auction sites. Gotta pay for a new saw blade. The guy seems uber NICE. Were his prices pretty good, Stonesthatrock? I imagine them to have come down some if he just wants to get it moved on out. Wish me luck- (I have to write down everything or I'll never remember what it is) Turq

turq, hes a very nice guy and i have stayed in contact with him for the past year. When i was there he had alot of generic rock, nothing special. As for prices, he sold it to me at $2.00 a lb and i bought quite a few lbs of it. I'm not sure how low he will go, as he was pretty firm on that price. I just talked to him the other day and he didn't get me any hints. lol

That 10 inch saw looks like a good deal for someone.

Thanks so much for replying, Stonesthatrock. At least I have a ballpark figure to work with, and maybe he'll go a bit lower if he's really interested in moving the stuff out.
