I realize I haven't posted anything recently, so I thought I'd show you some of the cabs I've been working on. I was accused of only playing with brown stones ( ), so I thought I'd prove that I do like other colors, they just don't always get pictures taken of them! I have about another thirty waiting on the dops First, the group shot of this weekend's cabs (colors are most accurate in this shot): Norwegian Thulite - I didn't think this was going to actually polish until after the 8k wheel: Silicated Fuschite (much more green in person): Willow Creek: Royal Imperial? I've not seen it in this dark purple, and the slab wasn't marked when I purchased it. I can tell you it's a very fine orbed jasper (looked polished coming off the 600): Owyhees: Texas Flint: Australian Opalite: Ocean Jasper (the orange you see is actually 14k diamond compound. I'll have to regrind to get it off and then figure out a way to not have it stain the stone!): Pirahna Agate - very bad picture: And finally, two WWRs:

Nice set of cabs!!
I like the Willow Creek, the Imperial and the first WWR. (The Imperial could also be Willow Creek, that is a common color and pattern in Willow Creek.)
Glad you posted these.....................Tony

Thanks, guys! Roxy, some of these were new to me when I bought them a couple months ago as well. I went looking for some "new" material. Thanks, Catmandewe - I had a sneaking suspicion it was actually one of those Oregon, Idaho Jaspers instead of Royal Imperial, I just never can remember which of those (besides Bruneau) trend to orbs. The slab wasn't as round nodular as I'm used to seeing out of Royal Imperial.

Fantastic batch Ronda. Great variety. I'd have to say the fuschite is my fav, it is green after all. I've never come across that material or the thulite before. I have a piece of imperial that is as dark as that, at least it was sold to me as imperial.

Fantastic stuff, Ronda, as always. The silicated fuschite is stunning and that first WWR is about as sensual a shape as I've ever seen on a rock. And plenty to look at inside, too. Love the owyhees, but the imperial and willow creek take the cake. Beautiful. matt

Your cabs are gorgeous and I just love the Willow Creek. I was wondering about the Thulite. I usually brouse ebay just to look and that is one material that I don't see often. It sure is pretty.
