I just love weekends where all I have to worry about is playing with rocks! ;D Got a few more finished this weekend. This set is some of the pre-forms I had ready last week. 2 Wavehill Agates (pinkie, from Spiritstone I think) Teepee Canyon Agate (from Roger) Crazy Lace (from e-bay) Sodalite. A friend of mine sent me this slab with a few other goodies. It's the 1st time I've worked this material, and I thought it was gonna be messy, but was pleasantly suprised. I sure LOVE the Deep Blue! Is there any tips to putting a shine on this stuff?? Expert Advise needed...Please Dino Bone Twins. I love Dino Bone...but I sure don't like the distinct yeachy odor it gives off while grinding on it. Yeach! Thanks for lookin'. Steve

Steve you are really getting good at this, ain't it fun?? After the usual favorite stones I have Dino Bone ranks up third, it's interesting stuff. Did you collect this with Tim? Hows he doing these days? Keep on cabbing, it's a great hobby!

Thanks you guys! Tony, yep...I LOVE IT! I cannot believe how much fun I am having cabbing. I knew it would be fun..but I had no idea that I would enjoy it so much, and that it would give me such a 'high'! I actually bought a few slabs from a guy here in Utah. I want to get more from him, but he has to dig through his stuff to see if he has any left. I talked to Tim quite some time ago. I let him borrow my 1st arbor/grinder with the corborandum (sp) wheels. He is doing a special project with his Bots doing a custom backsplash and a few other things. I told him he better post some pics when he gets done. Steve

Very nice - I love the coloring on the Mex lace. The orange is terrific.
But the sodalite has to be my favorite of that bunch! Love the shape and color. I'm told heat is the key with sodalite (why the paste on wood worked so well).

Wowsers that's a beautiful bunch of cabs. Really nice shapes, especially the sodalite. I don't know the secret to it but I do get a very good shine on it.

Good stuff all, Steve. The crazy lace is terrific and the wavehill on the right is fantastic. And who doesn't like dino bone? Your cabbing is just looking better and better.
