i don't know whats goin on for sure but i looked at alittle of the email i got and deleted as nonsense and i think its gonna be a bummer if they win -- and they will if they pay the right people in gov to vote there way -- everything lately thats bad has something to do with crooked leaders of our country and them getting rich or tons of money for there campaign-- food for thought huh

Hi Mark,
I asked my husband to research this to find if it is flawed in any way (something he does and is very good at) Here is what he sent to me:
The topic of net neutrality is very real and very serious. All providers wish to treat the internet as they do cable TV. This is a hot topic that is being discussed in congress. Although nothing is final, 2012 is the date that has been spoken of as a deadline.
I hope this helps. I would think this is something for folks to email there congressmen or senators about.

im kinda glad this topic got brought up...its the only serious conversation ive been able to have with cp since grandad died...i took his reasoning that nothing is gonna happen....and then headed off own my own to think about it...and research it...thats scarey huh ;D. i surely believe the cable and phone companies are definetly going to try and make there services a pay per tier service...just like cable is in its current state...its kinda smart for them to at least try....they make more money that way...we sure hate it...we hate the big corporations...but thay are gonna sure try. i didnt do any searching of politicians that stand to benefit from these cable or phone companies...but i believe that the lobbiest may have a chance of getting this done...if any politicians with any pull... stand to gain from it. but at the same time...as far as lobbiest go...can the cable and phone company lobbiest....compete with the lobbiests of companies such as google..yahoo..microsoft..peta...gun owners of america...american library assoc...ebay...amazon...and so on. i think it all is going to boil down to which politicians stand to gain...america at its worst huh. i kinda gotta agree with rich here....if it does happen....people are gonna pay...just like they do now for a tiered cable service...the internet junkie will certainly pay if it is allowed to happen. now cp says it aint gonna happen for certain reasons....he actually asked me a question....he wanted to know why we have basic cable....i told him thats what we can afford...he said exactly....that there is so much research being done by students...reseachers..moms and dads...on so many various topics that it will never happen...if it is allowed to happen...then people that cant afford it will become disadvantiged ...he said he cant see that happening....while i understand his point....we are still dealing with the politicians. so who knows....i still think the big internet dogs aint gonna let it happen. someone mentioned comcast being fined.....i seen where they appealed....even though they are my provider...they are evil also. www.wetmachine.com/totsf/item/1314and check this out....i do believe it is the start of something.....kev. www.wetmachine.com/totsf/item/1305
