I'm not exactly sure what these are called. Some kind of Picture Jasper. Slightly porous, so it didn't take a glassy shine. 1 1/2" tall. Really a nice pattern, though. Agate. 2" tall. The camera focused on the surface of the cab, so the internal feature is out of focus. It has a billowy appearance. Thanks for looking. Bob

The title of the thread made me think I would watch some other sort of pics ;D But I like very much what I see, the landscape in the first one is great but my favorite is the agate.

Bob, these are both wonderful. I love the picture on that Jasper and that agate is really nice! Then I made the mistake of reading Adrian's comment and almost fell off of my chair laughing. Sometimes it takes me a few but then I get it.. Fran

The first one is likely McDermitt or Chicken Tracks jasper, they both come from the same general area of southern Oregon / Northern Nevada. The gray sky is pretty indicative of that material. And it's a bit porous. Like what you did with it.

Great cabs. That Jasper is sweet and I know what you mean about the camera focusing. Sometimes (ok, many times) I have to take more than a couple pics before I get the camera to focus exactly how I want.

Very interesting patterns, Bob. Looks like you got a good shine on the top one. I like the shape to the pattern with that one. Tony

I have a lot of that Picture Jasper and you are correct, that is about as glossy as it gets. I have some that will polish up great, but not this stuff. It seems a lot like 'Chicken Tracks' Jasper in it's porosity. Very nice cabs! -Banjo

The first one reminds me of the grand canyon. My favorite is the 2nd one, though...love the patterns in the agate.
