I had a chance to do something rock-related this weekend. I had a few cabs dopped and ready, and I also had a few Echostones that needed to be finished. Two Dino Cabs. I did these for a guy I work with..for his son. His son had a slab, and he wanted something other than a slab. Did these 2 cabs for him...plus 2 others that I will work on. I drilled these, and they are currently on a chord for him to wear. Funner than a silly old slab! Especially for an 8 year old. When I opened up the saw after slicing this Montana, I knew it was destined to be a cab. I am contemplating on an Echostone set for this one...as I have the heel that matches perfectly. I'm also wondering if there's a way to clean up the druzy. Do you think oxalic acid would do the trick?? and 2 Echostone sets. Both Laguna sets. noticed the scratches! I really need an optivisor!!! The reason that some of them are still dopped....is that I'm in the process of building a polishing wheel. I need a bettr polish on these, and I figure I might as well keep these dopped until they get a shine they deserve. Thanks for lookin'! Steve

Steve, You did it again! Many beautiful cabs and any boy would love those dino bones to show off! I can understand how you want an even better shine on these beautiful stones. I look forward to seeing them again when you feel they are finished! Fran

Nice going, Steve. The dino will show off well at school! Chicks dig dino As he grows up he'll thank you more. Ultra sonic cleaner is what I've heard cleans druze pockets best. Got some extra bucks? T

Steve: I use a Mystic Spot cleaning gun I got from valleylitho.com. It is a handheld pressure sprayer, electric driven, and is designed for dry cleaners. However, it really works wonders at getting polish out of cracks, and druzy. I got mine basically to clean out the druzy pockets in cabs. You do need to wear a strong rubber glove on the hand that is holding the cab, or crystal etc since the spray WILL penetrate your skin. Woody

They are gorgeous. It's really cool that an 8 yr old boy will wear a Dino Bone cab. All his friends will probably want one!
There was a little drool dribble when I saw the rest. The more I see your cab/slab sets, it just reinforces how perfect the name is. The last set is just amazingly beautiful!
