I mentioned a while back that I would like to buy some Pietersite and two members sent me some for free. Bless their hearts! Brian (beef) sent me a little chunk that made two cabs. The first one is the heel and had a lot of matrix in it. So it's a weird shape. Thanks Brian! Then Amber (bejewelme) sent me a slabette that I got two more cabs out of. Thank you Amber! Curt

WOW Curt: I was wondering how that would turn out. I like the last one best!! That is some pretty stuff, there is such a range of color and price!!!! I was so curious to see it worked. You are the cabbing King this weekend, are you trying to hide and get out of Santa duties? ? Amber

That is real pretty material and the cabs are beautiful. There is something about pietersite that is mesmerizing. That third one is just stunning.

Is the stone difficult to work? I bought some charoite a couple of years ago and did a few pieces but don't care for the stone as it chips so easy. I have several slices left but am not sure I want to aggravate myself trying to make some more pendants

Hey, Curt! Nice group. I'm working some of that now...and I like it! I have to agree with the rest in that the pyramid is a great shape to pattern choice. Very dramatic! T

Thanks guys! Warren, this is fairly easy to work. Doesn't chip, very hard, takes a good polish.

Really pretty cabs there Curt. I like the triangular one too. Funny how this material comes in gold, red and blue depending on its source. No matter where it comes from it makes pretty cabs.

Curt: I bought that from Catmandewe, he said he didn't have much left, and didnt think it was all that great, I thought it looked beautiful!!! He only had a little, so we tried to keep a piece for us, but I am so pleased you got 2 really nice looking cabs out of it!!!! I think he said he has a new source and that he is expecting to get some more in stock. Shameless plug for Catman, because he is the best!!!
