They seem to think that these two sites are more relevant than us lot to the term "rock tumbling". I think not personally - I think that G*o*o*gle are run by two as*s*holes who are so greedy that they are the next likely 25 years in jail Enron tossers. GOO**GLE hides websites you see - for cash. In this example - how do you suppose "amazon.com" is more relevant than this website for the phrase "rock tumbling" Thats goog*l*e for you - anyone got stock - you'd better sell it quick. Those guys are going to jail........ BIG TIME. All search engines are evil, that's what happens when something good turns in to $$$ signs. It all goes to heck in a handbasket.

Youll see from the g*o*phoo*gle description just how they return search results for their cash. Here is a part of the description they return for the search of "rock tumbling"
"comThe rock tumbler can foster independent play for one child, and cooperative play "
They returned it - now how the hell is "rock tumbling" related to "one child, and cooperative play".
This is why the search engine called "g**oo*gle" is a lump of shit. But many people are beginning to distrust it.
LOL - seriously - there are so many better resources out there than stupid corporate amazon and stupid corporate "about.com" about rocks - yet go**gle thinks these two are the best - I think not.
See Enron for how those two scupper heads are going down - and DONT USE THAT DAFT SE - use yahoo or MSN instead.
Yahoo have now indexed 20 BILLION pages - G**gle have just 8 BILLION - Please guys - spread the word - this is just one example of the sheer fraud and greed by g*o*ogle - they are serious filth.
Mark.

I don't use google because of spamming. I use aj.com ... just type in a question, and you get answers. I wouldn't have found thins place if it wasn't for Jeeves.

Mark, not to defend or stir the pot, but do you allow google.bot to be on this board? That is one of the ways you get listed on Google without paying.

Xena, I don't think Mark has control over all the ads that pop up and what ever bot's are monitoring this board. If I'm not mistaken, the board is hosted by a free server. There's only so much he can control (General apearance, and deleting posts).
I have a craft web site that's hosted by a freebie web host, which doesn't allow outside "Bots", but you can still find my site at google. Google just spiders through other search engines to give people results.

I don't know about Google, but AOL's( being a veri anti gun organazation) search engine used to filter all gun web searches to the back or omit entirley web pages containing such info. I quit them years ago due to this.

I have no robots.txt file for bot exclusion of any kind on this site - or the main domain. I just live in the hope that their greed doesnt overtake them too much - although I know deep down it will eventually. The reason I get riled about it is that without me - they are no good - and without them - I am no good - as the site would never be seen. So if they go bumping it down the ranks to page 2 or 3 then this forum wouldnt exist. Lortone and Thumblers - yeah - where are they? I guess they dont suck up to google either. I'll find a way

Dwight - AOL search results are from Googles database. AOL dont have their own engine - they use google. If you look at around the top left of the AOL search page - youll see the "Powered By Google" logo. Google filter what they like - and hide some of the planets best information from the population. They are on the downward slope now - seriously - its prison time for their directors soon - youll see. Just spread the already growing word pls - me telling you this is giving you some SERIOUS INFORMATION - IE if you have a friend who has shares - GET RID AND FAST. On a more tumbly note - I switched the barrels on Thursday on my Pet wood from Krazy D - and also refilled with some more smaller bits which I managed to hammer for the first time since the accident. So I'm on charge 3 at 80 now. I threw the book away when it came to how much grit I should put in I shovelled about 5 tablespoons into each of my three 3LB barrels - just to be sure Extremely content with the way they are shaping up - there are going to be some really nice chunks out of this. Im going to purchase some new barrels for the polish phase as I want these absolutely "dot on". May even purchase some new barrels for the 400 - its the only way to be sure Mark

Hi Mark, I dunno this was awhile back befoire they used Google as their search engine. it was right after they stopped using "Webcrawler". Like I said it has been several years ago. I do know that payPal is strongly anti gun as well. I know some antique Winchester collectors who had their PayPal accounts closed because they made paymet for a set of 120 year old sights .....just sights not regulated in any way by any government in any nation that I know of....that one purchased from another. I think the guy was in New Zealand and nedded a way to get the funds to him for his collection. Sorry for the gun rant, back to rocks...tomarrow I have 2 batches coming out of polish and into the borax for burnishing....fingers crossed.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that sites move up in Google depending on how many searchers select those sites after doing a search. If we were all to Google rock tumbling, then select this board (and probably do it more than once), this site would move higher up the results list.

Kurocks- that is what G**gle would have you think- we tried to buy some advertising with them- 6 months for $50- guess what- it takes them 6 months just to get you listed! then there are no promises- But I admit I still use Google to get here (sorry- I'll try to stop) also they attempt to dump a ton of spyware on your computer when you use em- Congrates on the Pet wood Mark- can't wait to see the pix!
