I had 4 days off for Christmas and it was wonderful, but very little time for rocks. I did get two started and finished them tonight. First up is some wood from our East Texas friend Curt. I imagine it is Palm, rather soft for wood and wanted to under cut on me. Curt can tell us for sure. Second is Leopardskin Jasper. A friend saw this slab and said "Can I draw one for you to cut and polish for me?" Sure and here it is. Thanks for looking! John

John: You may not have had a lot of time to cab, but WOW!! I like that Palm wood or whatever wood, and that leopard skin is very crazy I like all the pattern in that piece. Your friend picked a good one. Amber

I'm hoping to get a rock or two more in this year...we'll see. Maybe tonight. I really love the first one. You'd never know that it gave you so much trouble...looks great! I can definitely see why your friend fell in love with that leopardskin. There's a whole lot going on in that stone. Great job on both!

Both are very enjoyable to look at and worth all the effort! Really nice patterns there to see. Fran
