Cut cab from some of Jamie's material. I haven't had the nerve to try it until now. Gonna try some more soon... Cabbing is good mental health therapy! Dan

I love Jamie's material. I sliced up more from a box I picked up a couple years ago...now I just need to set up my photo studio!

I love Jamie's material. I sliced up more from a box I picked up a couple years ago...now I just need to set up my photo studio! It really is beautiful stuff! Softer than anything I've worked so far though. The dome came out a little bit uneven... will need more practice with it... Thanks, Dan

I love her crysocolla too, but it doesn't love me. I always break them or they get really pity! I have tried about 6 pieces so far. How does Opticon work? I ordered some of that thinking it might help, but I have no clue what it is or how to use it??!!
Jamie had some really gemmy stuff and I am so afraid of ruining it, it is electric blue just what I wanted.

Whoops! I just realized I didn't comment on the cab. I love the shape - great cab! LOL Yeah, the softness takes some getting used to. And if you have some of the stuff that is more quartz based than others you can shoot right past the pretty colors easily. But it's terrific material. Bejewelme - I can't tell you about Opticon, as I haven't used any myself. But I can tell you it takes a soft hand on the Chrys. I'm not sure about the pittiness - I haven't had any that do that. But the pitty ones could definitely be opticoned into submission.

Very nice. The shape fits the pattern well. The color range of that material is stunning.

Digging the chrysocola with Jamie, Rodney and sherri is the best part. I brought home a few pounds to work with.

Jack yorkshire Uk No secret Jack... I'm just using all diamond. This cab is only polished to 8,000 using diamond paste. The key to a great finish is to be dilligent about removing the scratches from the previous stages. (I learned that from Stoner) This one only took a shiney-matte finish... which is fine with me... sometimes I think a glossy shine distracts from the stone itself... Thanks again for all the nice comments everyone... dan
