Howdy folks, Well, I cranked out a few more points yesterday and mounted one of my others on a bola slide. Next time I do a bola, I'll have to remember to dull the edges as this point is a bit sharp edged to slide up and down the cord. The new point to the lower right is a bit too big and heavy so I may rework it. My two favorites from this batch are the white one which came out real nice, sharp and thin and the little Kinney on the far left. The flint I used for that one was real cool, chocolate on the outside with a blue center when I flaked into it. Thanks for looking....Mel

wow those are nice but could be dangerous a sudden stop and a person could get a tracheotomy When I sharpened tools, & deliver barber shears, I would carry them in my shirt pocket. It dawned on me, if I hit the brakes, those billy shears would go right to the lonely heart! Headlines would read: Cupid hits his mark on rock'n heart club man ... fine arrows-> mel!

A short man with a long tie MIGHT wind up with a worse problem than a tracheotomy. Nice points Mel, when ya gonna start on the matching hat-band ? Harley

Looking good Mel! I agree with Harley. It is time for a hat band with a point. Fran

A hat band with the small heads set in silver Conchos ?
Probably spelled that wrong.
That would be an excellent Summer project as you could set in the air conditioning and work when it gets too hot to go hounding. I could come down and join you and between the two of us we could REALLY make a mess in your shop ! I bet some of the members think they have seen a messy shop but I know they would be absolutely speechless if confronted with the sight of 3 or 4 days worth of flakes made by percussion flaking !
