Here are pictures of the pieces I cut this past week and then put through the Gryphon..
Last night Nature put together some awesome videos for me as I am a visual person.
They are really cool and helped me immensly.
Today as I was working with the Gryphon, I decided to also take a batch of smaller pieces that I set aside thinking I was going to work on them (in my mind make them perfect). So I tried to smooth the edges and bevel the corners.
Here is what (I should say where) the next vibe batch is ...
How long do you think it is going to take me to fill this sucker up? WOOF!!
Here are pictures of the remaining material I got from Fran (and a few smaller pieces I had laying around) that I drew forms on that I am going to slice and dice tomorrow. Or at least make the sides straight and then trim them up with the saw. In Nature's video, she showed me how she does her trimming and smoothing with the saw blade. It never occurred to me to use the blade as a smoother. Another of my famous DUH moments. ;D
I also decided that since I really love the way pet wood and/or opalized wood looks like polished, I am going to slice this opalized wood (I think) and I think the other is limb cast. I also have some bog (pretty cool stuff) that I may try to slice up as well.
I am also going to finish slicing up the moss agate. I love this stuff!!
As always .... all input is wanted and needed!
ps .... from here on out, if I make mistakes I am going to at least smooth them a bit and then put them through a batch. I am going to give myself credit for doing pieces versus kicking myself over them not being perfect.
I honestly think that some of my most perfect polishes have been some that have not been perfectly shaped or rounded!
