3 trips, 900 plus miles and a lot of choice words later, I finally re-found the the odd rocks, me and my buddy stumbled on last Fall. It's by the Canadian border and in a fairly large wash. I thought it was seam agate from the few samples I collected last year, but there's a lot of Zeolites in the area, and I'm not so sure what it is anymore. The exterior of the rock is deceptive and quite ugly, pity and porous, so I thought I would break out the WF, shape up and prepare a few nodules for a tumble. I also slabbed a few pieces for Kayla to draw out a few preforms. I tumbled a few small pieces from the earlier collection with Lakers... the material did just fine and took a great shine. Anyways, I was very happy to overcome the senior moment and finally find where I was last Fall and this little interesting deposit. Geez... you'd think a guy could remember where he already was! ;D Here's a few pics from the Work Force sessions of this different material: Really ugly and pity on the exterior: A few nodules being shaped up for tumbling: A few slabs for preforms: I'll keep ya posted on how the stuff progresses. Thanks, Steve

Steve, you persistent bugger. You persevered and found even better material. Just gorgeous, really gorgeous. Jo

Wow! That stuff has some really busy patterns and colors in it. Should make some outstanding cabs if you go that way with it.

These have some really bright patterns with great contrast. I love the one 3rd from the last. It's always fun to find what you have maybe lost. Please post your finished results.
