Give me your opinions of Trim saws to purchase. I already have a work Force from HD. Looking to be able to trim Intarsia cuts and to get closer. Appreciate CMan

Ameritool 4"is a nice saw and will take a 5 inch blade also. It is variable speed so you can use it with really thin blades, thick blades, etc. With a 5" blade it cuts taller than most 6" saws and uses plain water. The trim saw I use most is my MK145 4" tile saw with a 303C 4" lapidary blade. It has a big table, uses plain water, and is very low priced. I am helping my stepdaughter tile her house and it is the only saw I have that will cut 16" tiles. I've had older oil saws (Star Diamond, Frantom, etc.) but if buying new I would stick to a plastic bodied saw suitable for cutting with water. High Tech saws would likely be comparable to Ameritool also.

I have the MK145 as well (thanks, John!), and I love it. The lapidary blade cuts very, very smooth and makes a quick, clean cut.
