From Sept. 3rd, 2009: news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2009/09/090903-arctic-warming-ice-age.htmlThe writer says that increased greenhouse gases likely is delaying the next ice age (a natural cycle caused by the earth's wobble). On the next page, the writer says we have to reverse the warming trend. Does she want another ice age?? She must be in the pay of the energy companies, because if she wants the earth to cool, we'll need more energy/heat to keep us all warm. That means more drilling and more burning of fossil fuels to keep warm.

I think she would make an excellent politician.

Boy that gal would make a good politico! She really knows how to cover all her bets. I hate cold and like hot. I agree with Brent and think what we're seeing are natural cyclical temperature trends and human activity doesn't have much effect compared to natural sources of greenhouse gas, but if humans are helping to make it a little warmer instead of colder, that's OK by me *S*.....Mel

All I know is, it is 11/19 and I still am not wearing my winter coat, which is incredulous to me! I am waiting for PA to feel like San Diego!! I do try to go green, I do think more people, more cars, more stuff, is killing our planet slowly! I think little things we do will help preserve the planet! Hey we want rocks to be here for future generations, and not find them buried under hazardous waste!!

Population control is the only thing that will conserve resources. Global population is exploding and that requires resources...

Yep, and that's next. The government will be telling us how many children we can have. China already does it. Any children that are born accidentally are killed.

Well, Montana had it's 3rd coldest October on record. Last week we had 2 feet of snow here in town. The good news is that more scientists are jumping off the bandwagon all the time. Over 30,000 to date. Even the lefties at Der Spiegel (Germany) are running a story today admitting that we are actually cooling presently, and the climate change modeling that has been done is less than reliable. www.spiegel.de/international/world/0,1518,662092,00.html Of course, they are convinced it will resume warming again. It has to, or all that grant money and their lucrative careers will be in jeopardy! Not to mention it would crush AlGore's aspirations of becoming the world's first carbon billionaire.

In '97 it was warmer than this. I am hoping for an el nino like that one. It would make up for a few brutaly cold winters. The sun will be coming into an active cycle which will warm things up again. Then if a few volcanos go off, then it will cool off. Good luck to the scientists who think the climate can be controled by us.
If the sun goes into an inactive cycle and we have some major eruptions, we could end up frozen for a few years. Then what will they tell us? Create more greenhouse gas?

Algore should be prosecuted and go to prison. What a scam, to turn a profit from a lie. How many are sleeping in a 8 x 10 cage tonight for less? Lee

Carbon credits for everyone would level the playing field for the the whole world. But it would be impossable to regulate. It would also make the population explotion worse.
