Today was a Blizzard Day with between 12” and 24” of snow. It’s hard to tell. The 60 MPH wind gusts moved it around a little. Any sensible critter would either hibernate, or migrate. Not sure if that makes me a Canuck or just a knuckle head! Fortunately, the power only flickered, but never went out so the saw ran this afternoon. Mexican Lace – These are small chips, but there is a small pendant in every one if they don’t disintegrate in the vibe. ![](http://i657.photobucket.com/albums/uu300/150fromfundy/McKay%20Head/January%202010%20Slabs/MexicanLace.jpg) Romanian Rock – This precious one is from Adrian in Bucharest. One of his finds that he included in my Christmas exchange box. I knew it looked good, but had no idea of what lay under the crust. ![](http://i657.photobucket.com/albums/uu300/150fromfundy/McKay%20Head/January%202010%20Slabs/RomanianRock1.jpg) Romanian Rocks – Now there are two. One half got sliced. The other half is stored away in the event that I ever get a flat lap to finish the cut face. It would make a nice specimen on a stand. ![](http://i657.photobucket.com/albums/uu300/150fromfundy/McKay%20Head/January%202010%20Slabs/RomanianRock2.jpg) Other Stuff – There’s a few pound of rose quartz, the Mexican Lace, the Romanian rock, and an assortment of Bay of Fundy rock from McKay Head again. ![](http://i657.photobucket.com/albums/uu300/150fromfundy/McKay%20Head/January%202010%20Slabs/Group.jpg) Close Ups – You know what they say … Today’s slabs are tomorrow’s preforms. Words to live by if the power doesn’t go out. ![](http://i657.photobucket.com/albums/uu300/150fromfundy/McKay%20Head/January%202010%20Slabs/Closeup1.jpg) ![](http://i657.photobucket.com/albums/uu300/150fromfundy/McKay%20Head/January%202010%20Slabs/Closeup2.jpg) ![](http://i657.photobucket.com/albums/uu300/150fromfundy/McKay%20Head/January%202010%20Slabs/Closeup3.jpg) ![](http://i657.photobucket.com/albums/uu300/150fromfundy/McKay%20Head/January%202010%20Slabs/Closeup4.jpg) Hibernate well. Darryl.

What a great thing to do during a blizzard. You've been a slabbing machine lately Darryl! Great slabs. Love the Romanian rock.
