No doubt this is going to be interesting. I can't wait to see what happens! One thing for sure, this has got to have all the Democrats in red states shaking in their boots. They've got to know that supporting Obama's leftist agenda sure ain't gonna help them get re elected. Here we have a gal who arrogantly thought she was a sure fire, no contest winner but the polls in her state who had her way ahead by like 35 points, now have it a dead heat. Looks like the voters have finally taken their heads out of the sand and taken a good look at the direction the Dems have the country heading and have not liked what they've seen. *L*. And this in a state Dems have controlled for 50 years. Even if the Dem wins, it's still gonna send a heck of a shout out to all the Dems in states where the polls are already close, that Gull danged Harry Reid for example. He's got to be pooping his drawers *L*....Mel

I'm sitting on the edge of my seat.
If Brown wins, the Dems are in the toilet. In November they will be flushed.

Curt, if Brown wins, the Dems will tie the whole thing up in court forever. It is also not about health care.

Snuffy, I live in MA and have been getting 3-5 calls a day for over a week. Some recorded, some live. Some for Martha, some for Brown. My mail has also been flooded.
Obama must not have been too happy to have to run to MA to help Martha. It's one thing to give a hand to someone who has tried, really tried and needs help. Another to have to set all other things aside to help someone who just sat on her duff. The whole situation must have been very taxing on his time and energy. I find that a bit ironic.
I'm not that politically savvy but I jumped ship when transparency was redefined to mean only what we want you to see. It has really always been that way but Obama made a promise, a huge one and while it was still fresh, he....well you know that one.
I think for the Dems who jump ship, it is no longer a party issue and no offense, but wagging that I-told-you-so Republican finger may be doing more harm than good when a Dem is considering voting for the other side.
Sorry, I just had to say that. Gotta go make my mark.

Yeah, I think the "I told you so" stuff can be overdone too but on the other hand, I'm so proud that now lots of Americans are starting to pay attention, become more politically astute, and make their political choices based on the issues and what direction they want their country to move. I really think that it's a very very good thing that folks, instead of doing whatever their favorite TV personality says, are finally getting off their duffs, starting to use their heads, and becoming involved. This is after all supposed to be a government of the people.....Mel

Ha, I already voted. The phone just rang and I'm now listening to a pre recorded message. Land lines are going to be jammed.

If Brown wins, Republicans would be foolish to assume they have been given the nod. While it is true the country is reacting to the Democrats "Hail Mary" up the left flank by seemingly moving a step to the right, The Republicans have a long way to go before proving they are ready to lead the nation. This election should serve notice to both sides that the American people are sick and tired of politics as usual.
We want a honest and open government. We want to put our country back into the hands of those to whom it truly belongs, We, The People. We want a common sense approach to government. No more of the sacking of our country's economy with bail outs of fat cats and pay-offs to special interests while the working class suffers. We are over having those in power telling us to sit down and shut up while they have their way with our country.

Doc It's about health care, but it's also about radical extremists that want to destroy America.
Bill I would consider it a victory for America. As I've said before, the first thing we need to do is elect enough Republicans to stop the extremist, then we can concentrate on electing people that will serve the people.
We have a "regular" person running for Texas Governor against 2 politicians. I'm talking the regular candidate up as much as I can. She has little money compared to the politicians so it's going to have to be a grass roots thing.

If it were about health care, it would hinge around Tort reform. I have a feeling, health care is so low on the bill priorities we might not see it in this century, if at all. It is something else.

I have always been very fearful of any time that the Presidency, Senate and House of representatives are all of the same party. Too much Bad stuff happens at our expense. Bob
