I realized I had mentioned on another thread about my dad having left me specimens of dogtooth calcite before he died but I hadn't posted any pictures of them on here. The specimens came from a quarry in Ohio and were collected in the 60's by my dad. They aren't showy or fantastic specimens but they are very special to me. These are a few small pieces from his collection. I have others but no pictures of them. Thanks for looking, Diane

Ms Drocknut, the calcite specimens look really cool. I just love the different crystal and formations calcite that calcite can have. I like going up north of Chattanoga TN to collect calcite. Thanks for Sharing !! Frank (garock)

Thanks Frank, there are a lot of calcite forms and crystals. Just gotta watch out when cleaning them...lol. I've never been to TN to collect but have collected some calcite in Montana and Arizona. I don't have very good pictures of those. How about posting some pictures of your specimens?
