On an earlier thread I showed the first couple of poppy blooms in my garden. Full bloom now,love 'em. had some double pinks show up besides the reds. snuffy

Oh how lovely Snuffy. We called my grandfather Poppy and my grandmother grew poppies in their garden. Love the double bubbles. You are a very good gardener. Jo

Just beautiful! I wish I could be there to see them in person. For those of you on here, my dad is the best gardener ever!!!! So many memories of so many things...fruits, veggies, flowers, you name it, he grew it! LOVE YOU DAD!

Yeah Brian, the weather is beautiful here, highs 80,lows 60. but in 2 months,we will be around 100 and it aint no dry heat,either.Then we will be wishing we were up there with you.lol

Wow I am so endvious, they are beautiful !!! also the rest of your garden is not to shabby either! My poppies are 4 inches tall & I wouldn't think of putting tomatoes in for 4 more weeks! Again really lovely. Nancy

Toad,that sounds good too. I dont know about other parts of the country, but around here we have a large Czech heritage,and there aint nothing better in my opinion than a poppy seed filled pastry, called kolache here.
