Yep, I said "snow day". It has been snowing here all day, most of it is melting on the ground but there is some sticking on the grass. Here's pictures to prove it: Yes, I live near a graveyard, at least the neighbors are quiet...lol Ok, on to the wrap. I don't know what the cab is but looks like bloodstone (hard to get the colors to come out with my camera). It is done in 22 GA sterling silver. I'm not proud of it but I got it wrapped and figured what the heck, might as well post it. I also started another wrap but it got too dark to take pictures of it. Thanks for looking.

Don't know why you're not proud of it Diane, it looks fine to me. Very fine in fact!

I like the colors in the stone. Got some nice swirlies going there too. Not bad. If you could change anything, what would you change?

LOL Randy Jo, it doesn't show up as well in the picture but that bottom part got pretty mangled when I tried to pull it up on the cab. I didn't want to have that over the top of the cab but it helped to stabilize it. I had a heck of a time trying to get that cab to stay in place. Those pointy cabs seem to be harder for me to wrap. I don't know what the problem was, maybe my hands were frozen from the snow Thanks everyone, I appreciate the good comments, makes me feel better about this one.

Well...I dunno why you wouldn't be proud of it! It looks really nice, I think you are being too critical of yourself!

Looks pretty good to me. You need to post larger pics so I can really see it. The eyes aint what they used to be. lol

I like the way you wrapped that shape. If the wire looks too mangled to you add some more mangles to give it some texture & say you did it on purpose, that it's supposed to look like that! ;D Donnie

It is always easy to be critical of your own work but this one looks pretty nice to me! I use a tiny set of jewelers files to get rid of small nicks or rough edges. A light hand on the file works best and then it is pretty good. Fran

Fran, I can't believe I thought of using a jeweler file just this morning and now here I get a post from you about using them so GMTA I suppose :-) It does work!
Ok, Donnie, I did it on purpose and that's what it is supposed to look like...:-D
Tony, mine either, but I think my mind is going bad faster since I can just barely get photobucket to work to post my pics let alone try to re-size them. I'll give it a try though, just for you ;-)
Thanks you all.

Snow in April-what a trip!!! Guess that's what you get up there in Big Sky Country (or is that Wyoming??) The wrap is very nice-love the cab too. Tumble the finished piece with steel shot to help take out any mangling done-hardens it up and comes on nice & shiny to boot.

kj, you got it right, Big Sky Country, Montana. Unfortunately I don't have a small tumbler so can't do the steel shot thing but I'll keep it in mind for later on. Thanks.
Thanks slabcabber.
