Just thought I'd put this out there to see if I get any bites. I used to sew bean bag frogs & decorate T-shirts so I have a bunch of fabric of different patterns, colors & textures. Some of it is flannel. I also have laces & other little do dads & stuff I used for decorating the frogs. I will post pictures later after I have time to take them. First off I just wanted to see if anybody would be interested in trading rocks or other such related items for some of this stuff I probably won't use anymore. Thanks - Donnie

Not really my thing Donnie, but I'll bring it to my wife's attention after you post pics. She's the one who sews in this family. Don

Well now Don, I wouldn't expect that you would be interested in such things. ;D I'll get to the pics later today or this evening.

Don't bet on it Donnie. I could sew better than an ex could. Made a lot of my own camping gear. I even have my own very old Singer sewing machine in the basement. Nothing fancy, but it will still be sewing long after my wife's fancy computerized machine dies. LOL Don

Wife is already in bed. I'll show her the pics in the morning. She may be interested in the embroidery pieces, and any cotton material you have. Don

OK, I'm going to guess that nobody sews or does any other kind of crafting then. Ebay is my next stop.

That's quite a load of stuff Donnie. Just to give me a general idea, would that all fit in a large flat rate box, or 2 or?? I sew (mom taught me at age 7), and Abby sews. Obviously Don's wife would have dibbs on all this, but I'd be interested in a trade if she's not interested, or doesn't want it all.
Let me know.
Thanks, Nate

I think it would probably take 2. I will put together 1 & see how it fits in there. There's some really nice stuff in there. I even have embroidery threads if anyone is interested in that, plus I think I still have some books that have the iron on patterns in them. Donnie

I'll show this to Abby tomorrow and see what she thinks. What are the approx. sizes of the fabric pieces?

Wife said to let it go. She has about a dozen large totes full of material, and will be getting at least that much more from her mother, plus 3 more sewing machines and a serger. Don

The sizes of the fabrics vary. Some have enough yardage to make a blouse or shirt. Some have more. There are pieces I bought just to cut out the patterns or pictures in them to attach to iron stuff to make appliqués. Some of it is only 1/4 or 1/2 a yard. There is flannel, cotton, denim, some silky kind of stuff, jersey. I think I have some that has some iron on backing on it already. There really is quite a bit. Whatever she wouldn't be able to use or just doesn't want she could probably give to someone else.

I had loads of fabric that I just got rid of to the local charity, was not going to do anything with it and got tired of looking at all the space it was taking up. Rocks are my main thing now

So far I have 3 over stuffed LFR boxes of fabric. The laces & trims is going to make another one. So that is four. I didn't realize I had collected that Much. Looks like I am headed the same way with The rocks except I enjoy it a whole lot more & so far have done a lot more

I am going to see if I can fit it all in a larger box & see what the difference in shipping would be if I ship is parcel post.

Well both Abby and Emily got really excited when I showed them the pictures, so I guess we'll take it. When you figure out what to do about the shipping Please PM me and we'll work out a trade. If it's too much, we could always "high grade" it lol.

OK, I'll get back to you later on that, but you lost me on the "high grade" it! :serious: Could you explain please?

High grading is picking through all the rocks you find and leaving all the "junk" laying there. This would be the girls basically picking what fabric they'd want, and you keep the others. LOL
