Here's some of the material I've been finding near Rio Rancho NM. I've been going out collecting nearly every day after work and finding a vary wide variety of stuff. Dendritic agate Red agate Pet Wood Twilight agate Petrified Palm?

Interesting pieces - and your cabs were excellent that you posted.
Comment - It looks like you are going over float material in your area. Is that where the majority of your material coming from, or do you have a lot of locations where the agate is in the host matrix?

Lowell, everything I'm finding is alluvial. It all appears to have been deposited in layers eons ago. Everytime it rains new stuff comes out.

I should have read your cabochon posting a little closer. You stated that information there. My fault. Thanks for taking the time to answer.

That western wood is so completely replaced it's hard for me to tell for sure about the palm. Wish it had some sort of "bark" on the outside. Pretty stuff at any rate.

dbrealityrocks ------Sence Colo and Montana do not touch it becomes difficult to adise your want for material. Colo has lots of high quality of most things but may be hard to get and smalllll. What are you looking for and where?
