got some tumbler belts and I have no idea as to what they fit in the first pic the small one inside fits the lorotone 33b--these are about twice that size and thickness--the second pic shows what I think is a part number but I don't recogonize the number--they are almost 6" diameter (5&3/4")---anyone use this size?

Some of those may fit the different Thumler's Tumbler models.

Small ones, probably Tumler's 3 pound barrels. The big ones, maybe the 6 or 12 pound barrels? Here's the size of my rings (just a little over 4 inches) Here's how it works... Open barrel Closed barrel... fits just over the edge

Alice, This one looks like a drive belt for a Lortone 33B 4" diamter at 3/16" thick.

Well I was told that my humour had been missed since I had to go back to work after my operation... so here goes..
The small belts are off a Hoover Junior, and the larger belts are off a Hoover Senior.... Both upright vacuum cleaners from about 20 years ago.

That's interesting LCARS Does thru square metals use parts from another units (and vise versa) to make them what they are?
my rubber ring is 1/4" thick though. Not as thin as the drive belt

Snowdog, do you own a sewing machine? I just typed up the model number in a search engine, and Singer sewing machines popped up.

Alice beat me to it I was searching for replacement drive belts for my CE 3# tumbler. No vaccum cleaner sizes worked. Rubber too thick for the pullys. At my wits end, a lady at Sears told me to check this sweeper repair store down the road. Well, the lady there took all of 10 seconds and she had a full box of exact replacements - sewing machine belts. (They repaired those too.. lucky me) So ya, the drive belts for 3# CE tumblers (and probably others) are sewing machine belts, and cheap too. The belts I bought there are 1million times better than CE belts LOL.

I used to wonder why ppl moaned about the Thumler's barrels. After purchasing the conversion kit, I now know why. Those O Rings are a true bitch to put on.
But hey, I finally have a barrel for every step and just moved a load into pre-polish.

Hawke--- Here is a great lid seal trick- (only works if you have hands big enough to palm the barrel) start by holding the ring on the barrel with your thumb and forefinger- then with your other hand work the oring onto the groove a bit at a time- as you do move your finger up to the spot where your working- only move one finger at a time- and switch back and forth (first thumb side, then forefinger side) do a bit at a time and don't let those fingers off the barrel- it gets a bit hard at the end of of the circle (as your fingers get closer and closer) but just work in smaller sections! the trick is to not just try to roll that last inch or so into the groove- if you do- the seal well roll right back off!!!!
