Here's a thunderegg that my oldest daughter picked from a bucket at a local rock show. Pretty pleased with the star pattern and ghost-like horizontal banding. It's the first thunderegg I've cut and I noticed my saw was getting kinda hot. The only other time I noticed my saw getting hot like this was when I cut a Brazilian agate. Are thundereggs as hard as Brazilian agates? My blade probably needs to get replaced.

Nice egg...if you cut a bunch of these you'll notice that you have to clean out your saw more often than normal..they also will clog up your blade sometimes...but the inner surprise is worth it...

They always seem to be so much harder than other agates! Will seem to take forever to get a slab cut but it is well worth it! Your daughter picked a good one! Fran
