Got this in an estate sale around 1992. Good ole boy went around the country rock-hounding in his RV in 1969 for a year, spent the rest of his retirement stone-cutting, when he passed away, I bought some equipment from the widow and she threw in all of the remaining rocks. Is this really something he could have picked up himself, or is it (as I speculate) a small slab of Botswana Agate that he swapped for? Sorry for the quality of the photo, it doesn't do justice to the stone.

It sure looks like a Botswana...although Botswana's and Lakers can be very similar. Should make a great little cab! Steve

Yep, I'm with Steve. Looks like a Bot especially the exterior crust which is usually more smooth and worn in most Lakers.....Mel

Looks really nice. Obviously his RV was amphibious...

Looks more like a Bot than a Laker to me, too, based on color, rind, and shape.
