Yeah, "real life" always has a tendancy of getting in the way of doing the stuff you like to do. Things are settling down a bit for the time being. No big GPS contests going on (at the moment) My right knee has been bothering me off & on since the "Document Your Suffering" contest so i've been taking it easy on the caching scene. I guess the acquisition of that killer rock box has re-energized me a bit in terms of this hobby at least.

hey LCARS,
i see you are a GPS fan, i have been working on a software package to allow guys (or girls) with lowrance gps/sonar combo units to make their own topo maps of the lake bottoms. don't know if anyone you know would be interested but i will be needing some beta testers this spring.
cheers jerry

JerryB, Sure I'd love to, only one problem is I don't have a boat or any Lowrance Nav/Son. Most of us terestrials use Garmin or Trimble if you can afford it. You want a sailing GPS familly & not so much a geocaching familly for what your doing. Of course if you supply all the necessary "test equipment" I'd be happy to beta test your GPS mapping software in it ;D
