Looking to sell or trade an older CV Wako (Similar to a Lortone) trim saw for a functional rotary trumbler (Lortone). The saw is currently disassembled (motor gets mounted to a surface behind the saw). Had solid arbor flanges made for it last year. I'm waving the white flag with this one with trying to get it set up (calculating pully/motor RPM ratio and building a table to mount it on. Have some pics of it in the "Slabs and Saws" section. Just wondering if anyone is interested. I'm thinking about buying a ready-made tile saw, instead. PM me if you're interested.

Not hard to figure RPM's. If your motor runs at 1725 RPM's, then use 2 pulleys of the same size. An old yard sale or second hand store small dresser makes a good table for it. and you'll have drawers to store rocks in to boot. Just ask, and we can talk you through setting that saw up. Don

My first saw I mounted on a work bench with screws. It was a pain to clean so now everything gets mounted to a piece of plywood with carriage bolts (from bottom). 2" pulley on each side would be fine. After bolting down saw tank, place motor in place and guesstimate belt length needed. I usually use 25" or 28" or so. Put belt on and mark where motor mount needs to be (allow for adjusting belt). This is all much easier than it sounds.

You'll be much happier with the saw you have than a tile saw! As Don said, there are plenty of members here who can talk you through it.
I can help you with it if you feel like making a trip to the Twin Cities.

Thanks for all of the encouraging words! I was about to give up on the thing. I'm moving into a new house in the beginning of December. Looking forward to a decent attached 1+ car garage to set up a proper shop! Going to be a long (and cold) process, but I'm looking forward to it. I'll be hitting y'all up as I get set up. Will post pics of the process when the time comes. Again, thanks so much. I'm very fortunate to have found such a great community of fellow 'hounds! ;D
