Just like to know what everyone is tumbling right now.
I'm tumbling in one of my 6lb. barrels some Apache Tears that I got from Banjocreek about a year ago. Very cool stuff. Another 6lber. I'm tumbling Montana moss agate, pet. wood (Banjocreek) saganite, crazy lace, moonstone, and a whole lot more. I have a big box of mix so I leave one barrel for mix. When these are done with course grit they will go to my other two/6lbs barrels to tumble then to polish. What are you tumbling?

Ive got 5 barrels on the go - but today I took my Snowflake Obsidian out to have a look at the polish stage - (I got it from James) - and ive messed up - its a mess.
I need to revisit the forum posts for this stuff.
I kind of knew I would have to read up on it.

Randy - Is that starburst undercutting between the stars? I get that in my Lot-O. Some pieces more than others. Been planning a batch using only pre-ground and starting at 500 grit.

Holy smoke! I've got seven barrels turning right now. In polish I have 2 3# barrels of medium sized Cady Mountains Plume and moss agate with my first trial run of the Rockshed AO polish ( I usually use only cerium). In two 3# prepolish barrels I have a mix of tiny various Hornitos Jaspers, Lakers, crazy lace and Turitella Agate. In one of my 6#ers I have mixed blue and green quartz, clear quartz, Rockshed Amethyst and snow quartz from a mine on my ranch. The other 6#er has some giant Botswanas, Brazilian Agate preforms and mixed jaspers and agates. My 12 pounder is running coarse grind on a mixed lot of Green Zebra Agate, Brazilian, Cady Mtns Moss, Lakers, Ohio Flint and other mixed agate and jasper......mel

Four pounds of Oregon Beach Agates that I found sitting in a tumbler barrel in my grandpa's basement. I think he was actually polishing pet wood because that was stuck in some old slurry at the bottom of the drum. I'll add them back in during the second stage of polishing.

I have 5 of the 3# tumblers going. One is doing coarse, two are doing 120/220, one is doing 500, and the fifth one is polishing.
All have mixes of jaspers and agates in them, and the 500 stage barrel has sodalite going.

Randy - Is that starburst undercutting between the stars? I'm not sure Daniel, I took a quick look at all the pendants yesterday as I loaded them up in Borax for the final burnishing. Expect some pics tonight

I use 6 lb barrels, and I'm usually tumbling many different things in coarse grind -- I typically alternate between different materials in each barrel and separate out what is ready to go ahead to 120/220 until I have a full barrel consisting of two or three things of similar hardness.
I recently moved into 120/220 a mix of dryhead agate, Montana agate, and (the star of the barrel) 2.5 lbs of Laguna agates. Wont' be showtime on these for almost a month though. In the meantime, I have to finish taking pics of the petwood and agates from the last batch through polish.

Can I remember without my notebook? I have 10 barrels plus a vibe running
The vibe has just started (tripoli) on a bunch of mahogany and snowflake obsidian, rainforest jasper and sodalite, probably around 12 pounds.
Coming out of 500 today a 2nd batch of Turtellas ready for tripoli
Missouri lace just into 120/220.
1 15 lber of mixed plume agates and odd jaspers.
2 15 lbers + 3 little barrels of India Agates (tree, moss, dendrite, black skin).
Some odd pet. wood, Brazilian agates and always some Lakers scattered through out.

Condor did you say 40lber? I like to see a pic of that tumbler. I'm trhinking of gettting a larger tumbler just for first stage rough. I saw one on ebay that had two 1 gallon barrels. I bid on it but someone wanted it more so boo hoo to me.

I am running 3 3lb barrels, one with Agate, amethyst, and local stuff, in 600. One with camel bone, Agate, and some cut small slabs of crazy lace, and some shaped crazy, and blue lace, in 120/220. One with shaped and cut crazy lace, quartz, and then misc stuff, that is not cut, in 60/90. I am trying something, which I am sure you have all done before. I cut some crazy lace but left the back and sides natural, trying to see if I can polish the front by tumbling, without changing the rest. Terry

I have three 3# barrels rolling, I have pet wood in polish right now will come out sometime this week. I have blue tiger eye tumbling in 1000 grit, and a in 500 grit I have a load that never did polish and it was mostly brazilian quartz that looked like it never got past the 120/220 stage. Tami
