As my first batch I used some driveway gravel, some small beach pebbles and some decorative pebbles from Michaels. I wasn't expecting results like I've seen here, but I figured it would be a good learning experience. It was. I read a lot from this forum and the booklet from the Lortone folks. I pulled out a few of the larger stones and ones I thought were out of the ordinary. I may try my first wrapped stone with a couple of the largest and some of the smaller ones I'll put in 'cage' pendants. If any of these stones are of a particular type I'd love to know which and what they are. Thank you for all of the incredible information on this site.

Really nice 1st batch. Really like the yellow one in the 1st pic, and the grey one in the 2nd.

Hurrah!!
I thought my first batch would be ready last Friday, but alas... it looks like more polish-time. Or maybe I'm expecting too much after seeing all the pretties on this site.
Congrats on your lovely results!

Thank you! I took some of the smaller ones and put them in gold/silver plated 'cages' for pendants including the mysterious yellow one.
