Thanks. Im very pleased, especially since they were only in polish for less than a week. This next batch should be even better im hoping. How the first batch looked before after seeing some of the pics on here, and reading about leaving them in the first stage longer, i started getting "anal" about the pits and cracks, so i started them all over again and i checked them today and they look much better, but have a few more days to go.

I don't think the time in polish is as critical as the steps before. If they spend enough time in the initial stage, all the rest of the stages go really fast. Some of it can also have to do with your material. Better material will have less tendancy to form pits and cracks, though some material is just prone to it, and you just do the best you can...

Yes, i am learning that as i go. I think i am getting the hang of it tho. Already joined the local Lapidary club and taking classes. Starting off small with little thumler tumblers, but im sure ill be getting into it heavy as i find myself becoming obsessed, lol.

Have you checked out the post " some insprational tumbles " (for newbies), I think? If you haven't, you need to.
