I like tumbled slabs because they're easier to cab as the face is already done. You've got some special ones there Snuffy. Real purty pieces

OMG!!!! Snuffy .... you have given me more hope now.
It never occurred to me that slabs in themselves could turn out as beautiful as preforms.

If the slabs have a good smooth saw cut on them, it doesnt take long. I think I put these through one coarse in the rotaries and let them turn an extra week.Then 3 days 1000 and 3 days polish in the lot-o. Enough to round the edges,polish the tops and bottoms and expose any material thats not solid or has hidden fractures or pits.If it makes it through this, it'll cab.But again,a ragged saw cut wont work this good.
