Here's another one that has been hanging around the mineral cabinet, this one for over 20 years. Today I had a thought that it might be birdseye rhyolite. I'm not the one who cut and polished it so have no feel for its hardness. I bought it as part of a lot from the widow of the original creator, and he had left behind no names or labels. One photo is a detail, one shows the entire polished desk piece. Anyone know where this stuff came from back in the day?

I bought some of the good stuff from Mary ann at the sedona show. It is really solid and polishes up really nice.

Mary, we just went out collecting Birdseye yesterday on 95 between Quartzsite and Yuma, AZ. This looks just like it. Jo
