Nice looking first tumble there. I need to start taking pictures of my before and after, instead of just after.

Great results for a first timer! You will notice that with a vibe, it does not take much of the material away from the stone so you do not get a lot of rounding. You just get natural looking but very polished pieces. Keep up the great work! I am looking forward to her next batch! Fran

You have some great and very usable stones.. But next time.. cut and shape the stones better.. you may even have to sand or pre tumble (dry) in order to round the edges more.. the main thing to look for is that the stones when tumbling will undoubtedly collect debris for the current tumble and pass it to the next.. pockets and divots will carry this debris over.. I've found cutting or shaping the stones in the dry process or with a diamond blade, eliminate the areas which can carry over the unwanted debris.

The stones look just fine as they are. Keep it up.

I don't like the rounded look on tumbles...so I don't pre-shape or pre-tumble... I like the edgier look.
Everybody likes different things. My problem with the super rounded ones is they look unnatural to me...pre-fab....imported junk... just my opinion....

meta99..
I'm basically looking at this from a Healer or Chakra users point of view.. (those who use the stones as devices to heal or within their worships) they need and want rounded or better shaped stones for their practice.. The sharp edges or uneven stones will not, nor can they be used to focus their attributes to or from the subject. They are searching for stones/crystals that can be held in their hands.. placed in pockets or pouches.. the sharp, uneven or unbalanced edges will or can cause the stones to chip or brake more so then rounded edges.
Tumbling should be a desired hobby.. but once in a while.. you might actually enjoy selling them to those who really use them.
and I understand your view..

I think Wiz needs to stuff all his pockets and some where the sun dont shine with all the healing stones he can get.

Margie says thanks for all the compliments and good words. She's got a second batch in right now and hoping they'll come out good too. I'll post the pics when she's done.
