guess it thought I wasn't going to feed it any more rock so it had a near fatal attack had to call in the "bearing" medics for replacements and a good scrubbing --then new oil and we're back up and running--can even see the blade turning now

OUCH!!! At least it didn't fall on you Snowdog. Those saws are "bears" to move. I made the mistake in not draining my oil during the move, and it coated quite a few of my garden tools as well as my trampoline frame. At least it was being towed in my pick-up behind the Penske truck. Steve

Holy crap Snowdog! That is my 24" saw's little sister! I would be forever in your debt if you would show some pics of the motor mounting. I don't have any of the mounting parts and was planning on having a friend fab something.
It would be nice to know what it should have, or at least how your's is mounted.
Glad you got her revived!

Hmmmmmmmmm OK!! How much you think that freight would cost? *smile* How many pendants do I need to sell before I can buy a new blade, what do they cost? Would I be broke before I made it through the first blade? I promise to give it a loving home too.

Cher, you can get an 18" blade for $129, not the best, but it's working fine on my saw.

Snowdog, I feel your pain, since I got my big saw, a rock slipped in the vise and pranged the blade, one of the bearings went out (luckily Ed had one that fit), then the bolt that tightens the vise stripped (probably from over-tightening so the rock won't slip. Luckily, cost was only a buck and a half for a new carriage bolt at the hardware store. Of course, if I had remembered to grab the one Ed gave me, it would have been free. Cal

ok Cher, might as well send you the blade first--here a pic, see if you want it shipping is only $22.95 for it ---will send the bearings next as soon as you receive this -----oh, it is the heavy duty one that's over $200 so you are getting a good deal ;D ;D or Edog, ---it's sitting outside the barn door --if you get here and I'm not home go ahead and take that blade --I'll find another to send cher ;D
