Gang this is looking good so far, I will wait for a few more to join, and we are off. I will set some ground rules also to make sure this is an enjoyable experience for all.
a couple of years ago, I organized a very successful Christmas exchange among RTH members, and it went very well. I was thinking I prod around to see if there is interest is getting a similar exchange going but during the summer. If there is a least 15 people interested, I will post the names, and will coordinate the exchange partners among them.
Please post replies on this thread, and I will let you know if this is go.
I was thinking with everyone being so far spread out, It is always a great idea to share local rocks, fossils etc..with each other, and have a chance to experience rocks from other places.
Or we could do a group exchange where four individuals send to to each member of the group...it would be like getting 4 boxes instead of just one from 3 different individuals.
Anyhow...please express your interest and we'll get this going.

Sounds like fun but most of the rock I have is from everywhere else. I don't think anyone would want Florida Limerock! I'm interested though.

Count me in if anyone is willing to bear the costs of international potage. If not, I`ll understant. It`s expensive.

Are we talking about a SFRB or what? I would be interested but in Ohio all we have is the Flint Ridge Flint and most of what I have of that is tumble size, maybe some cabbing size left and some corral fossils, pretty much white. Anyway I do have a great rocks that I have collected from others.

I'm in! I don't have much stuff here from N. Illinois, but I have a lot of neat Peruvian stuff...
nice to see this since I apparently missed out on the travelling rock box...

Count me in too! I'm also willing to do international. Most of my stuff is pet wood, but recently came across some new stuff, not sure yet what it is but might be of interest.

I`d be in for a sfrb exchange! But being as I`m brandnew to tumbling and have only done 1 load Is sending out some roughs ok in this box or are we talking polished? I hope to make another road trip soon and look for roughs. And to Rockincajun, I noticed the flag. Damn fine flag. I`m originally from Lake Charles. Lets rock!
