Congratulations! Nice looking first batch. Sounds like you have a rockhound-in-training with your grand-daughter. :-)

I love your little green plastic beads! They remind me of the salmon eggs we used as fish bait when I was little! Oh yeah...nice rocks too!

the little green beads were put in with these rocks when i started them in the coarse tumble. i just felt they should stay with them lol. step awayyyyyyy from the rocks dion. once again thanks to all who replied to my many stupid questions. i have encouraged a friend to join this hobby and even gave her a rock tumbler to get started. i will see at the end of the year if she is still my friend lol. my next batch are all jasper, and i am using some carnelians as fillers this time, as i will the next batch. my plan is to finally end up with a batch of carnelians that are shaped by method of filling. sounds good on paper anyway....my brain hurts

Wow, I feel like one of those people you gave a rock to. These are wonderful and I love the enthusiasm. You will have to do a batch of agates that only your daughter found. Thanks so much for sharing.

Nice group--far superior to my first (and 10th) batch. And, you have a mixed group, which is tougher. It sounds like you and your granddaughter are one step away from addiction--welcome!
