Very nice specimens !! I have collected there also. It is a nice place. Just do not go in the summer, the heat can take a lot out of you. Maybe I need to make another trip !! Still Diggin in the Georgia Dirt, Frankie

Been there several times myself. Ron showed me how to find the crystals in the wall the first time I went. Have several nice specimens from there. John, you have some great specimens there. And, I have dug there in July in 100 degree+ temps. Kap was there too. Ken

Beautiful. I love the big stuff but have no more room so I can only drool from afar. Some of those pieces might be big enough and fine enough for a hotel lobby. I stayed at a hotel in Costa Rica in 2008 that had some very fine crystals around the place. Very pretty effect.

Ken I remember the 100+ degree days well. everyone was running out of drinking water it was probably the hottest dig I have been on there. So, I thought THIS find would sate his appetite for DH material, but nooooo...we have SNOW in KY on the last day of March! So, he says "what do you think about driving to DH for the weekend?" Well, let's see....highs in the 40's here vs. 70 and sunny there....what's another 12 hrs in the car for a day at the mine?
I still have NOT found any phenomenal amethyst so I will continue my quest (I hear The Purple call my name!)....heard there was rain this week and Bryan is furiously playing with his machine turning over piles... so off to bed, finish packing in the morning and then head out...stay tuned! Sue

Have you used that tractor for rock mining? Your crystals are gorgeous, amazing the gifts we received from nature. What a blessing. Thanks for sharing.
