I polished up the end cut from this piece last night. I'm showing several views with the hope that someone can tell me where this is from (I bought it a long time ago). My guess is that it is from the SW U.S. because we don't have anything up in these parts like it. What it looks like on the outside: Another view of the outside: A slab (dry): No flash. The polished end cut - just needs a stem. Anybody out there good with Photoshop?: With flash. You can see that the outer/dark area didn't polish as well as the middle, but this is not really noticeable under normal light: Anyway, I would appreciate it if someone could tell me where this came from. Thanks for looking. Garry

Thanks all. I think it looks like a rose too. Gary - Did you have an estate sale around 20 years ago? If so, maybe I DID get it out of your back yard - lol! Mel - Thanks. I figured if anybody would know it would be you. I'm going to look that place up, because I'd sure like to find a few more!
