Hi Emere, Them rocks are awsome as with a lot of rocks you have out there ,and it shows it is not just the Opal that has amazing colours I got a few rocks from a friend in Donnybroke (W.A) 2 years ago like that, I was polishing one up yesterday and the metal flecks are visable among the yellow and black bands, capped with red/ brown very striking this red is a bit like the iron stone that is on some of the Korit opal , I was wondering if it was some kind of Jasper as it is very dirty to work with ? We had a great afternoon in Esperance museam they have a great selection of WA rocks (Esperance Museam has the US space capsal that came down in Australia by Mistake ) The rocks were badly displayed I had to climb over boxes to get a good photo but well worth it a awsome colection And all thes beautifull rocks just there in the outback for collection - - - - NOW that realy breaks my heart jack Yorkshire uk

That is some really cool jasper. Tell me, does any of the bands look slightly flashy? Just kind of reminds me of some tigers eye. Since you said it is metallic sounding, may have some hematite in it. I just can't tell from the pictures. Either way, it is a really nice caramel looking jasper! Fran
