Have a nice trip and drive careful. How long you going to be gone? Not that I'm wondering if there's enough time to raid your rock stash while you're gone or anything like that ... *smile* hehehehe ok, I'm just kidding about the rock raid but serious about having a nice trip. Be Safe!!

Hey Snowdog, sounds like fun! Let me know when you'll be in the area and I'll make time. Maybe I can get a free grinder lesson! I don't have too many great rocks but I can show you postcard scenery just a couple of miles from my home. I have lots of coffee too! Ok Cher, I'll keep him busy and you send me 25% of the loot, OK!

Dave,
I'd love to head up that way, unfortunatley I have to go the other way to California. Cousin is graduating college and my mom will be flying in too.
Man, we all got to get a big event going and fly our guys in from Europe and New Zealand! Mark, what does your calendar look like after the little one arrives!?!?!

Hahaha! What a great thing to send to a paranoid! The desk is pretty good, it's everything else that's behind. I'd like my house to look like those immaculate Canadian homes we saw. Yeah right!

Here is what rockman69 says in his email: Planning a trip to Colorado?? Spring has sprung and the weather is beautiful. If you're heading to the mountains for a summer vacation, please look me up! I have a 2200 square foot shop packed full of rocks that I would love to show you. Please feel free to email me if you'll be in the Castle Rock area and we can set up an appointment.

Well, my idea of cleaning up is to pile the clutter up into several mounds and blow on it with the air compressor. This is technically known as dusting. It is only to be performed with the windows open. Hey Dave, do you like pork? I got a pork roast I can put in the crock pot. I'm no cook but with the crock pot it'll come out good! See ya Thursday!

I wonder if another group can be found that has this repoire (sp) as a computer international group. Doubt it. Brian, 2200 sq ft. what a way to spend a day or two just feeling them, and seeing what they have to offer. Wow! NC is a li..tt..le bit far away.

Hey all, Snowdog just left Ft. Collins for parts west. He stopped in here for a few hours to say hi, drink coffee, talk rock, and show me just what a generous person is all about. I took a "short" nap before he arrived so I'd feel good. So I was sound asleep when he rang the bell 3 hours later. I recovered quick enough to put some clothes on. I think. We'll know when Dave writes this up! After that we looked at rocks in my yard, rocks in my garage, and rocks in my kitchen. Drank the elixir of life, (fresh black coffee) and talked about grinders and saws. Then Dave took me out to his truck. Oh boy! He has more rock packed away in this truck than I own alltogether. He just starts pulling rock out from everywhere! Gorgeous little slabs that are packed in neat little containers marked with the contents. Dramatic large slabs that are way too big for containers. He pulls out head sized chunks of nodules of joy. And then there are the boulders. Big honkin' pieces of exotic rocks. A full round pet wood piece that is stunning is in there. There was this huge crazy lace boulder you just had to see. All the while that he is showing it to me he is saying like, "one for you and one for me and another for you... He filled up a large bucket with beautiful, top notch stone for me. The crazy lace boulder and the huge slabs wouldn't fit in the bucket so i had to carry them to the house. Po' me Dave also showed me some of the projects he has made. I saw two of his agate lampshades! I'd seen the pics, but when you hold these pieces in your hands (both hands, I do NOT want to be the guy to drop one of these works of art!) and hold it up to the setting sun, you can really appreciate the artistry that has gone into making them. He also showed my two houses he made from agate using the same methods as in the lampshades. They are unique, and they are a long project that takes planning! His art is truly beautiful. I just want to say that Dave is a wonderful, generous man and I am glad I had the opportunity to meet with him. I hope more of you get to meet him. Thank you Dave, and you are welcome to Colorado anytime. The door will always be open for you! May your travels stay safe. I'll take pictures of the goodies tomorrow so you can all see!
