I started a load in late winter, and then due to spring flooding, they were forgotten about. This is the results of 5 weeks in 60/90 grit. 6-1/2 weeks in 220 grit, 2 weeks in 600 grit, 2 weeks in cerium oxide and 12 hours of borax burnish. First pet wood from local road gravel. Next Arizona material I received from GR (Gary). Then some lakers received as part of a trade. And lastly, assorted local road gravel. Don

Don, we have blue granite as our road gravel, nothing like what you have. That's beautiful.

This stuff was all done as a single load in my Thumlers Model B. Starting weight was about 13 lbs. The finished weight was 9-1/2 lbs. 4-1/2 lbs of that was pet wood.

Nicely done Don! So, were the entire 6.5 weeks in 220 rolling with no recharges?

In my Model B, I never check, burp or recharge loads. After 6.5 weeks in 220 grit, the grit had broken down enough that the rocks came out semi polished.

That was an impressive load, Don. Pretty cool that you can pick that stuff up off the road.
