Your 2nd pic side view sure looks like a limb cast. Love those innards.

Man, Steve, I sure wish we had those colors in Ca.
Beautiful pieces. I agree about the second picture - sure makes it look like wood. Love the banding!
By the way - will be stealing the photo for the index if you don't mind. Should I just list as Moab or is there a better locale ID I can use?
Talk to you soon,
Lowell

I agree with the first one side view looking like Wood. The others don't have such a give-away on the outers. I don't think they are Agatized Barite either...so my only other guess is Agates...which is what YellowCat basically is. Lowell...Green River, Utah would be more specific. Feel free to use any of my pics anytime. Steve

To me they have the look of yellow Cat wood casts, even down to the fractures which seem to be fairly common in that material. Sure are some pretty finds anyway.....Mel

I thought I heard (not sure where) that the 'yellow cat' wood was basically from a single find/tree some time ago. The pieces you posted sure do have the banded-agatized form of yellow cat. It seems possible that it is from the same deposit.

Hot damn, that bright red limb-cast is amazing. I've only ever found very pale pink ones.
